Job summary

Knowledge Services is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator for INPRS in Indianapolis. The role starts 100% onsite for training, then moves to a hybrid schedule.

You will manage IaaS operations across Linux/Windows, VMware, AD, and cloud integrations, with emphasis on security, disaster recovery, and performance tuning. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure uptime, support looker analytics, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering, equivalent experience, or relevant certifications.
• 5-10 years of server configuration management, administration, and production support experience.
• Experience with VMware’s vSphere Platform, SRM, vCloud Director; VMware certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of Oracle Linux and Windows Server operating systems; cloud migration understanding.

Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing operations and maintenance of IaaS environment (Linux/Windows).
• Develop and document processes for OS security, configuration management, disaster recovery.
• Administer VMware environment and troubleshoot VMs, Oracle Linux, Windows Server.
• Maintain Active Directory Services, DHCP/DNS/IIS, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, reliable cloud architectures.
• Monitor performance, backups, and incident response; provide on-call support as needed.
