Job summary

Arizona Department of Health Services is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide 2nd and 3rd line server support, perform administration, backups, maintenance and upgrades across multiple platforms including AWS, GCP, Azure, Intune, IIS and SQL servers.

The role focuses on ensuring system availability, implementing Windows security remediation, and collaborating with engineers, administrators and business units to maintain a reliable, secure technology stack for the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of systems administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, AD, DNS and IIS.
• Experience with AWS, Azure and GCP platforms.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and server maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line server support and documentation.
• Advanced design, maintenance and troubleshooting of IIS and SQL Server.
• Administer AWS, Azure, and GCP; evaluate new services.
• Perform ongoing Windows security remediation and updates.
