Job summary

The San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) is seeking a technical systems administrator to support the Sherlock Division's enterprise server and storage infrastructure. This role focuses on Linux/Windows environments, security, and compliance for FISMA, HIPAA and CUI projects in research computing.

You will design, install, manage, and optimize large-scale systems, collaborate with researchers and IT teams, and contribute to disaster recovery and high-availability strategies in a National Science

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field.
Expert in cross-platform OS and application integration (Linux/Windows).
Advanced knowledge of computer security practices and policies.
Experience with HIPAA, NIST 800-66/800-171, FISMA 800-53 and related controls.
Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
Advanced scripting skills in Python, Ruby, Java and PowerShell.
Broad understanding of IT areas and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain enterprise Linux/Windows servers.
Design, install, manage, and secure large-scale systems for FISMA, HIPAA and CUI projects.
