Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Sr Systems Administrator to support classified systems within the Weapon Systems business area. You will automate security logging, patch management, and vulnerability remediation for air-gapped networks, and build/operate standalone and networked systems.

The role requires Active Secret (with potential Top Secret) clearance, 4–6+ years in system administration, expertise in Windows and Linux, and experience with Nessus and security automation tools.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required to start work; Top Secret clearance may be required later.
• 4-6+ years’ experience as a Network / System Administrator / IT.
• Experience with Windows Server (2022/2025), Windows 11 Enterprise/SHB Images, Windows 11.
• Experience with Linux (RedHat 8/9) is a plus.
• Knowledge of encryption devices, servers, switches, routers and firewalls.
• Knowledge of network protocols, security, and troubleshooting.
• Certifications such as Security+, Network+, CCNA, MCSE, RHCE, or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds; Microsoft Group Policy fundamentals.
• Experience with Nessus and platform/security automation tools.
• Strong collaboration and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Setup and maintain systems support for software, hardware, and servers.
• Perform OS upgrades, patching, RAID config, backups, imaging and cloning.
• Provide timely technical support and account management for users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application problems.
• Support Anti-virus installation and maintenance.
• Assist with incident response and backup documentation.
