Job summary

Market Street Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our client’s team in New Hampshire. You will administer, optimize, and support Microsoft cloud technologies and enterprise infrastructure, focusing on Microsoft 365, Entra, and Intune, with an emphasis on automation.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, with strong identity and access management, endpoint administration, and infrastructure operations experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in IT.
• 5+ years in a senior systems administration, infrastructure, or technical operations role.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
• Hands-on experience with Intune, endpoint management, software deployment, and device administration.
• Experience supporting hybrid identity environments with AD, Entra ID Connect, MFA, and Conditional Access.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and process automation.
• Knowledge of infrastructure administration, backup/recovery, security best practices, and monitoring.
• Experience managing software licensing and IT asset controls.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Leadership experience mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Microsoft 365 and Entra expert, supporting Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive.
• Administer and optimize the Microsoft 365 environment, including licensing and security controls.
• Manage identity and access solutions, MFA, CA policies, and AD synchronization.
• Oversee endpoint management via Intune, including provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Support and maintain on‑premises and cloud infrastructure across servers and workstations.
• Assist in security monitoring, backups, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation for complex issues.
• Create automation with PowerShell and Power Automate to improve efficiency.
• Document configurations, procedures, and user knowledge resources.
• Research and implement new technologies to improve reliability and security.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to deliver IT services and projects.
• Participate in after‑hours support and travel to locations as needed.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join the team of our exceptional client. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, optimization, and support of Microsoft cloud technologies and enterprise infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra, Intune, and systems automation.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technical expert who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses deep knowledge of cloud services, identity and access management, endpoint administration, and infrastructure operations. You'll play a key role in ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable IT services while partnering with stakeholders across the organization to drive continuous improvement and technology innovation.

What will your day look like? As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will:

• Serve as the go-to expert for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra technologies, providing advanced support and guidance for Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related services.
• Administer and enhance the Microsoft 365 environment, including user lifecycle management, permissions, licensing, compliance, and security controls.
• Manage identity and access solutions, including Entra ID Connect, Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access policies, and Active Directory synchronization.
• Oversee endpoint management through Microsoft Intune, including device provisioning, software packaging, deployment, updates, and lifecycle management.
• Support and maintain enterprise infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments, including servers, workstations, and critical business systems.
• Help safeguard organizational systems and data through security monitoring, backup and recovery processes, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity incident response.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support for complex technical issues affecting users and business operations.
• Create and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell, Power Automate, and other Microsoft technologies to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, system configurations, procedures, and user‑facing knowledge resources.
• Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies and best practices to improve reliability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with vendors, business stakeholders, and internal IT teams to deliver exceptional technology services and project outcomes.
• Participate in after‑hours support activities and travel to company locations when needed.
• Contribute to infrastructure planning, disaster recovery initiatives, business continuity efforts, and ongoing process improvements.

You will be a good fit for the Senior Systems Administrator role if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of experience in a senior systems administration, infrastructure support, or technical operations role
• Strong expertise with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune, endpoint management, software deployment, and device administration
• Experience supporting hybrid identity environments utilizing Active Directory, Entra ID Connect, MFA, and Conditional Access
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and process automation
• Knowledge of infrastructure administration, backup and recovery, security best practices, and systems monitoring
• Experience managing software licensing and IT asset controls
• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to prioritize workloads and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Leadership experience, including mentoring team members and providing technical guidance

Nice-to-Haves:

• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management best practices
• Experience with Power Automate and Microsoft cloud‑based automation tools
