Job summary

5C Data Centers is seeking a Systems Administrator Lead for the Second Shift to support, maintain, and optimize large‑scale HPC and AI infrastructure across our data center and cloud environments. This role focuses on Linux systems, GPUs, networking, storage, firmware, and out-of-band management, with overnight coverage to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years Linux systems administration and HPC/AI infra or data center operations.
• Hands-on with enterprise server hardware and NVIDIA GPU platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based HPC compute environments and GPU clusters.
• Diagnose hardware, OS, drivers, firmware issues and perform root-causes.
• Senior escalation point for incidents across production compute infrastructure and restore service.
• Support bare-metal, virtualized, containerized, and cloud-hosted environments; maintain runbooks and handoff notes.
• Mentor junior staff and promote consistent troubleshooting methods and documentation.
