Job summary

5C Data Centers seeks a Systems Administrator Lead for the Second Shift to support large-scale HPC and AI infrastructure across data centers and cloud environments. You will manage Linux-based GPU clusters, including NVIDIA HGX/DGX, and drive reliability through proactive troubleshooting and documentation.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting infrastructure, kernel, drivers, and networking issues, with overnight coverage and collaboration with multiple engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Linux systems administration, HPC/AI infrastructure or data center operations.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware and large-scale NVIDIA GPU infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of server hardware, firmware, BIOS, BMC, PCIe, NUMA, memory, storage and networking.
• Experience with NVIDIA drivers, CUDA and GPU-management tools such as DCGM, Fabric Manager, or nvidia-smi.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot HPC and AI compute environments.
• Diagnose hardware, OS, driver, firmware, networking, and storage failures; perform root-cause analyses.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex incidents affecting production compute infrastructure.
• Coordinate replacement and RMA activities for GPUs, GPUs trays, baseboards, NVSwitch components, system boards, and NICs.
• Lead incident response and create timelines, RCA, and corrective actions; document in ITSM systems.
