Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) is seeking a safety-focused engineer to review and approve safety requirements for launch vehicle systems at the Denver site. You will conduct independent assessments, prepare critical safety documentation, and support internal and external stakeholders including the Air Force, FAA, NASA, and commercial customers.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 4+ years of related experience (Master’s degree substitutes for 2 years), and the ability to obtain a DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 4+ years of related work experience (Master's degree substitutes for 2 years).
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance if future business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Reviews safety requirements and assessments for assigned systems.
• Performs independent assessments and recommends changes to design/operations.
• Prepares safety documents for DoD, Air Force, FAA, NASA, NRO and customers.
• Audits operational areas to evaluate safety program effectiveness.
• Participates in accident investigations and identifies preventive actions.
• Evaluates safety requirements against design and development to optimize cost.
