Job summary

United Launch Alliance in Centennial, Colorado is seeking a System Safety Engineer to review launch and space vehicle designs, establish safety requirements, and prepare safety documents for ULA and customers.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and have at least 2 years of related experience. Strong leadership, independent work, schedule adherence, and teamwork are essential; up to 25% travel may be required, and the role may require DoD security clearance in the future.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • 2+ years of related work experience (Master's degree substitutes for 2 years of experience).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects to successful completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and maintain schedule adherence for assigned work scope.
  • Demonstrated teamwork/interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated group presentation skills.
  • Limited domestic travel may be required (up to 25% depending on program needs).
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance, if future business needs require.

  • Evaluates the interrelationship of system safety requirements and other aspects of concept design and development requirements to ensure the most cost effective program.

  • Previous work experience in the space industry.
  • Comfortable working in a high pace environment, with different groups of people.
  • Strong ability to shift tasks based on the current needs of your projects.
  • Strong ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Salary Range (ULA - Denver)

$81,695.00 - $136,159.00
