Job summary

Crane Company seeks a System Administrator / Network & Help Desk Engineer to maintain and optimize IT infrastructure, including Nutanix HCI, Veeam backup, and SCCM deployments. You will ensure security, high availability, and performance while delivering Tier 2/3 end-user support.

The role requires 3–6+ years of relevant experience, on-site daily, with after-hours support as needed. Strong scripting and IT security knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–6+ years in system administration, networking, or IT support.
• On-site daily with after-hours support when needed.
• Proficient with Nutanix HCI, Veeam Backup & Replication, SCCM/MECM.
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and virtualization skills.
• Awareness of IT security best practices and ITIL concepts.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, and storage.
• Manage Nutanix HCI environments and monitor performance.
• Handle backup, replication, and DR using Veeam solutions and verify restores.
• Deploy OS, patches, and software via SCCM/MECM and Software Center.
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and manage IT tickets within SLA.
• Support end-user computing and assist with security compliance.
