Job summary

Crane Company seeks a seasoned Systems Engineer to design and maintain our IT infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments. You will plan, implement, and optimize data center and cloud technologies, balancing performance, reliability and security across critical systems.

The role requires 5+ years in systems engineering, deep experience with Nutanix/VMware, and strong networking and backup expertise.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in a medium to high volume environment.
Experience with Nutanix and VMware hypervisors.
Experience with backup appliances, storage arrays, and server systems.
Experience deploying and automating virtual machines on-prem and in cloud infrastructure.
Experience managing networking, including LAN, WAN and virtual networks, preferably in Azure and Nutanix environments.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, patch, and manage data center and cloud technologies including Azure, Nutanix, and VMware.
Manage networking incl. LAN, WAN, wireless, Internet and virtual networks.
Ensure uptime of critical systems through monitoring and remediation.
Lead projects and assist other teams with IT initiatives.
Support disaster recovery and data protection processes.
