Job description

Senior System Firmware Engineer, RAS - Platform Software (Finance)

We are seeking a talented and experienced Datacenter CPU RAS (Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability) firmware engineer. In this role, you will design and implement firmware-level changes, working closely with hardware engineers, system architects, and software developers to meet stringent reliability requirements and enhance customer experiences.

Responsibilities include:

1. Designing and developing RAS firmware for NVIDIA's Arm Data Center products.
2. Triaging and debugging system, SOC, board, RAS firmware/UEFI related issues on various platforms.
3. Collaborating with hardware, firmware, and software teams to design features and resolve issues.
4. Engaging with customer partners to troubleshoot and resolve platform issues.
5. Supporting manufacturing and RMA failure issues with Quality & Reliability teams.
6. Debugging hardware and firmware issues during SOC bring-up.
7. Working with NVIDIA partners to improve RAS firmware usage.
8. Contributing to all phases of product development, from architecture to customer support.

Qualifications:

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in EE/CS or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience as a post-silicon debug Engineer, Hardware Test Engineer, or similar role.
• Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu, RTOS, and ARM-based platforms.
• Understanding of datacenter server platforms and firmware.
• Proficiency in C, Python, and Perl.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and commitment to quality.
• Self-motivated with creative problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ARM UEFI firmware development.
• Background in Linux kernel development, especially device drivers.
