Job summary

Halogen Engineering Group is seeking a System Engineer with extensive Linux CLI and Jira Service Desk expertise to drive requirements engineering, integration planning, and lifecycle management for complex mission-focused systems.

The role requires TS/SCI with Poly clearance, strong communication, and the ability to guide technical decisions, document systems, and provide technical leadership across teams in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Qualifications

• Twenty (20) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline is required.
• Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
• Current TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required.
• Strong Linux CLI and Jira Service Desk administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage requirements and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production systems aligned with DoDAF/SOA architectures.
• Develop system engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans and Requirements Specifications.
• Lead design, development, and integration activities with cross‑functional teams.
• Coordinate action items from review boards and manage cross‑discipline interfaces.
