Job summary

Halogen Engineering Group, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer with Kubernetes/Linux expertise and 2+ years of experience. The role requires TS/SCI w/Poly clearance and is based in Annapolis Junction, MD with partial telework.

The candidate will design, develop, test, and sustain a mission-focused enterprise web application running in a containerized Kubernetes/Linux environment, collaborating with product owners and engineers. Strong Unix, scripting, CM tools, and Java/C2E work are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux command line interfaces and shell scripting.
• Experience developing in Linux environments with Python.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Experience with SQL technologies (MySQL).
• Experience designing and implementing REST interfaces.
• Experience with CI/CD (GitLab) and Git source control.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements to derive software design and performance specs.
• Debug existing software and fix defects.
• Develop and modify software to add features and improve performance.
• Write and review system and software documentation.
• Coordinate software installation and monitor performance to meet specs.
• Lead one or more software development teams as appropriate.
