Job summary

Akkodis seeks an experienced Senior System Engineer for a full-time role across Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH; Columbus, OH. Hybrid work requires 3 days in office.

The candidate will lead virtualization, private cloud, and Azure/Active Directory environments while coordinating with security and operations teams. Relocation is welcome; the role demands strong teamwork, 7+ years of experience, and flexibility to travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in systems engineering or cloud administration.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Willing to travel up to 10% and occasional evenings/weekends.
• Experience with datacenter virtualization, hybrid cloud, and SAN.

Responsibilities

• Oversee physical datacenter with virtualization/private cloud.
• Manage racking design, cable management, redundancy, growth.
• Support cloud migration, DR, and hybrid cloud management.
• Design and maintain AD/GS, Azure services, VMware/Hyper-V clusters.
• Coordinate with security for policy compliance and controls.
• Maintain documentation of network/server configurations.
• Provide Tier III support and incident resolution.
