Job summary

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Senior System Engineer who will apply broad theoretical and practical knowledge of systems engineering to the acquisition process, delivering integrated solutions for mission partners.

The position emphasizes reviews, validation, documentation, risk management, and technical support across acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, and deployment, with a focus on DoD aircraft systems and compliance with federal employment laws.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and secret clearance are required.
• Advanced Electrical Engineering degree with DoD aircraft systems experience, or equivalent DoD-experienced background.
• Experience in system engineering for acquisition, development, integration, sustainment and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Review program portfolios to improve systems engineering programs and test processes.
• Evaluate plans, designs, and test results to ensure subsystem and system performance meets specifications.
• Prepare technical documents, reports, and presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective actions.
• Validate systems and analyze results against defined criteria.
• Provide system engineering support across acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, evolution, deployment, and operations oversight.
• Contribute to program and project risk management activities following Air Force SEAM processes.
• Conduct trade studies and design analyses including MODA and cost vs capability trade-offs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
