About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of complex electromechanical systems for demanding military and aerospace applications. This role focuses on precision rotary servo motion assemblies designed for harsh environments where reliability, performance, and engineering excellence are critical.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical engineering, system-level analysis, and cross-functional product development. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative solutions, evaluate system performance, and deliver high-reliability products that meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead system design for complex rotary servo motion assemblies used in military and aerospace applications.
- Develop system concepts and requirements across mechanical, structural dynamics, electrical, thermal, and rotary motion engineering disciplines.
- Evaluate design alternatives using fundamental engineering principles to predict system-level performance and determine optimal solutions.
- Lead integrated product development teams to ensure projects are completed successfully and on schedule.
- Monitor project milestones, track progress, and communicate program status to senior management.
- Interpret and translate customer specifications and technical requirements into engineering solutions.
- Prepare statements of work, product specifications, and technical documentation.
- Serve as the primary technical interface with customers and suppliers throughout program development.
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure system integration, performance, and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical, or a closely related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, with 5–7+ years preferred in the design and analysis of precision electromechanical equipment.
- Strong experience in mechanical design, packaging, electrical engineering, and analytical problem-solving.
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAE tools; experience with Siemens NX (UG NX) is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing motion simulations.
- Knowledge of motion control techniques and rotary servo systems.
- Experience developing high-reliability electromechanical systems for demanding operating environments.
- Ability to evaluate complex engineering trade-offs and drive system-level design decisions.
