Qualifications

• 8+ years building scalable distributed systems, with 3+ years in System/Platform Architect roles.
• Proven experience architecting both large microservice environments (100+ services) and monolithic applications.
• Strong hands-on Golang coding skills - must write production-quality code.
• Experience with Protocol Buffers, gRPC, WebSockets, and Kafka event streams.
• Security & authentication knowledge: OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT, mTLS, data encryption, zero-trust architectures.
• Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and distributed-system patterns.
• Experience handling high-traffic systems with millions of requests per day.
• Excellent technical writing and cross-team communication abilities.
• Planning phased implementations and leading complex cross-team projects.
• Feature flags, gradual rollouts, and zero-downtime deployments experience.
• Ability to guide technical decisions and create platform roadmaps.
• Mentorship mindset and cost-analysis capabilities.
• Experience with AI-assisted workflows in system analysis.

Responsibilities

• Architect secure, scalable, and cost-efficient systems across the platform.
• Lead architecture design reviews and drive cross-team decision-making.
• Create ADRs, design docs, runbooks, and API specifications for complex components.
• Mentor engineers and define platform-wide standards and best practices.
• Plan phased implementations, migration strategies, and deprecate legacy components.
