Job summary

Workato is seeking an exceptional System Architect to lead the design and evolution of our platform architecture. This hands-on role requires deep technical expertise in building secure, scalable, and cost-efficient systems across the entire platform.

You will design microservices, mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and create ADRs and API specs. Strong Golang coding and experience with distributed systems are essential, along with Kubernetes, Docker, and secure auth practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building scalable distributed systems, with 3+ years in System/Platform Architect roles.
• Experience architecting large microservice environments (100+ services) and monoliths.
• Strong Golang coding; production-quality code.
• Proficiency with Protocol Buffers, gRPC, WebSockets, Kafka, PostgreSQL.
• Security: OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT, mTLS, zero-trust architecture.
• Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, Terraform; IaC and distributed patterns.
• Experience handling millions of requests per day and cross-team leadership.
• Excellent technical writing and communication; ability to craft roadmaps.
• Experience with AI-assisted workflows in system analysis.
