Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Senior System Architect to serve as a technical authority on an Agile GEOINT program for NGA.

You will own architecture across a multi-team Release Train, guiding strategy through implementation and aligning with government standards. You will mentor architects, chair reviews, and drive roadmaps, ensuring scalable, cloud-native solutions and interoperable designs across teams.

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of systems or software engineering with architecture leadership.
  • Experience architecting large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems.
  • Led architecture across multiple development teams in Agile/SAFe.
  • Strong APIs, data architecture, and integration patterns.
  • Excellent communication with senior Government and technical stakeholders.

  • Lead system architecture definition and governance across multiple Agile delivery teams.
  • Develop and maintain the program technical roadmap, architectural runway, and enabler backlog.
  • Chair design reviews and architecture boards; adjudicate cross-team technical decisions.
  • Direct analyses of alternatives and technology insertion assessments.
  • Align program architecture with Government standards, security, and interoperability mandates.
  • Partner with Product Management and RTE during PI Planning to sequence architectural work.
  • Mentor architects and raise engineering standards across the program.

Senior System Architect
The Opportunity
  • Serve as a senior technical authority for an Agile program delivering GEOINT capabilities to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
  • Own architecture across a multi-team Agile Release Train, from strategy through implementation.
  • Partner with Government chief engineers and mission owners to drive long-range technical roadmaps.
  • Lead the architectural decisions that determine how mission-critical systems scale, integrate, and evolve.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities
  • Lead system architecture definition and governance across multiple Agile delivery teams.
  • Develop and maintain the program technical roadmap, architectural runway, and enabler backlog.
  • Chair design reviews and architecture boards; adjudicate cross-team technical decisions.
  • Direct analyses of alternatives and technology insertion assessments based on cost, risk, and mission impact.
  • Align program architecture with Government enterprise standards, security requirements, and interoperability mandates.
  • Partner with Product Management and the RTE during PI Planning to sequence architectural work.
  • Mentor architects and technical leads; raise engineering standards across the program.
Qualifications

Required:

  • TS/SCI Security Clearance with ability to obtain polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted).
  • 8+ years of systems or software engineering experience, with significant architecture leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems.
  • Experience leading architecture across multiple development teams in an Agile or SAFe environment.
  • Strong command of integration patterns, APIs, and data architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills with senior Government and technical stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with GEOINT systems or geospatial data architectures.
  • SAFe for Architects (ARCH) certification.
  • Prior experience supporting NGA or the Intelligence Community.

The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is $98,500-$206,800
