About the Role
- We are looking for a Senior Systems Analyst & Build Engineer who combines strong systems analysis, application support, Agile delivery, CI/CD automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise.
- This role will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, developers, operations, and vendors to ensure enterprise applications are successfully designed, delivered, supported, and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, document, validate, and manage business and technical requirements.
- Create and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and process documentation.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, backlog management, sprint planning, and release planning.
- Support enterprise applications in production, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate releases and upgrades.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Jenkins.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
- Automate build, testing, deployment, provisioning, and configuration processes.
- Work with cloud and hybrid environments including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Support system integrations, APIs, web services, and data interfaces.
- Use SQL and Oracle for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Develop automation/scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, YAML, or similar technologies.
- Support DevSecOps, monitoring, logging, compliance, and security automation initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
- Create technical documentation, operational procedures, and training materials.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Analysis, Software Engineering, Application Support, DevOps, Build Engineering, Release Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong scripting skills with PowerShell, Python, Bash, YAML, or similar.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases.
- Understanding of APIs, web services, system integrations, and data interfaces.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in utilities, energy, power generation, commodity trading, or other regulated industries.
- Experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Azure Monitor, or CloudWatch.
- DevSecOps, vulnerability management, or security automation experience.
- Certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer, Microsoft DevOps Engineer, Terraform, Ansible, ITIL, PMP, CBAP, CCBA, or Agile certifications.
