Job summary

Hyundai AutoEver America is seeking a System Administrator II in West Point, GA to design, deploy and manage enterprise server environments. You will administer Windows and Linux servers, AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SQL, storage, VMware/vSphere, and cloud resources, ensuring security and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience serving as a primary administrator for Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Minimum 2 years of experience administering VMware vSphere environments (vSAN experience preferred).
• Strong expertise in server administration, troubleshooting, and production support for enterprise systems.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver assignments within defined scope and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Enterprise Server & Infrastructure Management: Design, install, configure, patch, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and core services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file/print, Exchange, SQL, storage, virtualization platforms (VMware/vSphere), and cloud resources.
• Advanced Troubleshooting & Incident Management: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and system issues; conduct root‑cause analysis; review logs; and produce incident reports.
• Backup, Disaster Recovery & Availability: Develop, test, and validate backup and disaster recovery strategies for servers, Exchange, and SQL databases.
• Monitoring, Performance & Automation: Implement monitoring solutions; analyze performance metrics; optimize capacity; develop automation scripts (PowerShell) to improve reliability.
• Security, Compliance & Lifecycle Planning: Implement security controls, patch management, and compliance processes; plan capacity upgrades; manage vendor relationships.
• Project Leadership & Customer Support: Lead infrastructure projects; document requirements; support ITSM processes and stakeholder communications.
