Job summary

CorSource Technology Group seeks a contract System Administrator 3 to support the Operational Infrastructure team in Vancouver. The role involves managing Windows and virtualization environments, implementing RBAC, patch management, and incident response while coordinating with managers and clients and maintaining rigorous documentation.

Responsibilities include server/workstation administration, software deployment, and adherence to ISO/NERC-style governance and change control processes.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a directly related technical discipline is preferred.
• With an associate or bachelor’s degree in applicable fields, 8 years of experience is required.
• Without an applicable degree, 10 years of experience is required.
• Experience must include direct work experience in Information Technology performing System Administration.
• Experience includes a minimum combination of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training.

Responsibilities

• Perform system administration of the listed systems under Manager oversight.
• Configure software, maintain local documentation, install/update/remove software; apply change control.
• Server administration, patch management and virtualization (VMware).
• Research, design and maintain access control models (RBAC/least privilege).
• Respond to help desk calls and provide professional client support.
• Maintain files and documentation per Information Governance & Lifecycle Management standards.
