Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid/Sr System Administrator to support a large, complex network environment with geographically distributed systems and air-gapped domains. You will install apps, manage servers, and ensure continuous, secure operation while handling patching, cert renewals, and AD configurations.

You will work with security-focused teams to optimize performance, document architectures, and resolve incidents quickly in a fast-paced setting. Clearances and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Experience as a systems administrator providing direct end-user and staff support.
• Proficiency with Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory.
• Experience with deployment, patches, OS, backup/restore, and virtualization.
• Familiarity with SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, SolarWinds, Nessus, RedHat and VMWare.
• Strong information security understanding and ability to support TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Install applications, administer systems, and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure server/desktop configurations run continuously and efficiently.
• Perform security management and application performance optimization.
• Sustain a web-based information storage/sharing system.
• Create/maintain complex server enclaves; analyze scans, patch, renew certs, manage vulnerabilities, configure AD.
• Identify and fix hardware/software issues.
• Respond to admin/ops/maintenance problems and develop rework solutions.
• Document complex server/network environments for incident resolution.
• Communicate outages/upgrades with users and management.
