Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks an experienced US Defense System Administrator Senior Technology Consultant to join our Aberdeen, MD onsite team. The role requires TS/SCI clearance and on-site work at a partner/customer office in Aberdeen, MD.

You will monitor HPC health, patch systems, and support complex client environments with leadership and mentorship responsibilities. Responsibilities include system patching, ticket resolutions, SLA tracking, and hands-on hardware/software deployment.

Qualifications

Requires TS/SCI clearance.
Requires 8+ years of professional experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
In lieu of a degree, 11+ years of relevant professional experience is required.
Location: Must be located near Aberdeen, MD, on-site.
Experience: Linux systems and cluster administration.
Availability to work on-site to support on-call schedules.

Responsibilities

Monitors and maintains the health of HPC systems, including compute, network, and storage.
Plans and performs monthly system patching and semiannual OS upgrades.
Reviews, resolves, and responds to client support tickets.
Creates, tracks, and closes assigned support cases and maintains SLAs.
Maintains availability reports to track SLAs.
Plans, schedules, and completes monthly patching and kernel upgrades.
Maintains the client-required system security posture.
Supports clients with application installations.
Troubleshoots and repairs hardware issues.
Maintains 24x7x2/4 on-call coverage.
