Job summary

SAIC is hiring a SysOps Team Lead to sustain, modernize, and transform the enterprise IT capabilities for the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). You’ll oversee lifecycle operations across on‑prem and cloud environments, drive security, and ensure reliable backups in a classified DoD setting.

The role requires a TS/SCI eligible clearance, strong leadership, and extensive Windows/VDI/VMware expertise, with proven ability to coordinate multi‑discipline teams and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 14+ years of progressively responsible IT experience with enterprise systems.
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 5+ years of technical leadership/management in an enterprise IT environment.
• Security+ CE or higher.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams for enterprise infrastructure and operations.
• Knowledge of Windows, VDI, VMware, backup/recovery, and storage in a classified environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees lifecycle operations, maintenance, testing, security, availability, administration, and optimization of customer server infrastructure.
• Manages environments including cloud development, pre-production, production, and test labs (VDI, shared space).
• Coordinates software installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching across infrastructure components.
• Monitors operations and recommends capacity, security, and performance improvements.
• Researches and implements technology insertions to improve performance and reliability.
• Manages domain access, accounts, and data security with appropriate access controls.
• Ensures encrypted backups and off-site storage, as well as restoration and archiving of data.
• Documents solutions and contributes to activity reports.
