Job summary

D2 Technical Services is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator (SA) to join an elite on-site team supporting a GEOINT exploitation system and production mission in a fast-paced environment.

The SA will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, automate deployments, and maintain security and documentation while collaborating with users and vendors. The role involves leadership responsibilities and hands-on problem solving daily.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, certifications or training.
• 5-10 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.
• Experience with maintenance and change requests of all user-facing devices and systems.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills.
• Strong writing skills (document creation and note taking).
• Ability to work within a team for projects and tasks.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to troubleshoot and document various problems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the functionality and efficiency of computers running on one or more operating systems.
• Maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems.
• Set up administrator and service accounts.
• Maintain system documentation.
• Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
• Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinate installation and provide backup recovery.
• Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to computing resources.
• May program in an administrative language.
• Develop and implement testing strategies and document results.
• Provide advice and training to end-users.
• Provide guidance and work leadership to less experienced staff members.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
• Participate in special projects as required.
