Job summary

Aether Aerospace is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a major NAVAIR program in Patuxent River, MD. The role involves high-level Foreign Disclosure review, mentoring, and ensuring secure DoD information systems. You will work on a government hosting facility with VMs, containers, backups, and on-prem networking.

The position requires 5+ years of SysAdmin experience, RMF/STIG familiarity, and DoD program exposure. Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain Top Secret is required.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required with ability to obtain Top Secret.
• 5+ years of Systems Administration experience.
• Experience supporting DoD programs or secure DoD environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government software hosting facilities.
• Deploy and maintain hardware, VMs, and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on servers and IT equipment.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on servers and workstations.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Secure information systems per DoD guidance and RMF controls.
• Maintain documentation and participate in Agile project planning.
• Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.
