Job summary

Aether Aerospace is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a major NAVAIR program office in Patuxent River, MD. The role involves senior-level Foreign Disclosure team responsibilities, reviewing information releases to international participants, and mentoring the team.

The successful candidate will deploy and maintain hardware, virtual machines, and containers, perform routine maintenance, and ensure DoD security and compliance across systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Systems Administration experience
• RMF compliance experience (STIG)
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for a government software hosting facility
• Deploy and maintain hardware infrastructure including VMs and containers
• Perform maintenance and configuration of physical and virtual hosts
• Install, configure, troubleshoot hardware/software on servers/workstations
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans
• Manage user accounts and permissions
• Deploy and maintain software applications
• Provide technical support to customers and guidance
• Secure information systems per DoD guidance
• Maintain configuration and security posture with monitoring and reporting
• Participate in Agile project planning
• Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure
• Understand Linux and virtual networking
