Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Divisional Switchboard Chief Engineer for the Panelboard & Switchboards product lines. This role may be remote within the United States but is preferred at Smyrna, GA; Sumter, SC; El Paso, TX; or Morrisville, NC, with relocation available to Sumter, SC only.

The candidate will act as the technical SME, guiding strategy, mentoring engineers, and coordinating cross-functional teams to meet objectives.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of product design experience in power distribution equipment conforming to UL standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Enovia.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical SME for the CPA product line and define strategic direction.
• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve objectives within budget and schedule.
• Mentor engineers and drive innovation across the product line.
• Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, CSA, and related standards; manage filings.
• Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to drive solutions.
