Job summary

AUMOVIO is seeking a Sr. SW Resident Engineer to join the ACM team in Auburn Hills.

This senior role serves as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal teams, providing expert guidance and ensuring high customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will analyze complex issues with engineering, communicate clearly to varied audiences, and lead cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing, quality, and design to drive product improvements and cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in automotive software/customer-facing technical support or related role.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide practical resolutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience coordinating multiple technical initiatives across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical liaison and escalation point for customer issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Analyze complex problems with engineering teams and develop comprehensive solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to customers with varying expertise.
• Manage customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and design teams to resolve challenges and optimize operations.
• Conduct technical training and knowledge transfer with customers.
• Identify product improvements and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Support root cause analysis for production issues and field returns.
• Document open issues and drive them to closure.
• Coordinate prototypes including scheduling, shipping, and invoicing.
