Job summary

AUMOVIO is seeking a Sr. SW Resident Engineer to join our ACM team in Auburn Hills. You will bridge customers and internal engineering teams, providing expert technical guidance while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

You will leverage extensive technical expertise and interpersonal skills to resolve complex issues, drive customer success, and contribute to product improvements through direct feedback and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant automotive software experience in customer-facing roles.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose practical resolutions.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication; experience coordinating multiple initiatives across teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary technical liaison and escalation point for customer issues; provide on-site coordination of regional topics.
• Analyze complex technical problems, diagnose root causes, and collaborate with engineering to develop solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to customers with varying expertise.
• Manage customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and design teams to resolve challenges and optimize operations.
• Conduct technical training sessions for customers to improve product utilization.
• Identify product improvements and support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Support root-cause analysis for production issues, 0KM failures, and field returns.
• Document open issues and drive them to closure.
• Coordinate prototypes including scheduling, shipping, tracking, and invoicing.
