Job summary

Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan Sustainability Initiative seeks a Senior Program Assistant to support complex administrative duties. The role covers certificate program coordination, event lifecycle planning, and research project onboarding, including payroll setup and financial management.

You will also handle procurement, vendor setup, and general office operations to ensure smooth program execution.

Responsibilities

• Certificate Program Coordination & Course Support: administer Sustainability Certificate, engage students, handle course logistics, coordinate guest lecturers, and match S-Lab projects.
• Event Management: plan speaker series, Advisory Board meetings, Certificate Graduation, and stakeholder engagement events from start to finish.
• Research Project Coordination & Researcher Onboarding: liaise for two research projects, onboard/offboard researchers, setup payroll, manage finances.
• Accounting: procure vendor setups, process payments, reconcile expenses, and administer MIT finance policies.
• General Administrative Support: manage calendars, coordinate travel, purchase supplies, run office operations, maintain stakeholder database.
