Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in the United States is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer focusing on Survivability engineering. You will support SE disciplines, mentor peers, and lead technical efforts across spacecraft and missile programs.

The role requires expertise in radiation environments, systems thinking, and ability to communicate with customers and leadership. Expect travel as needed for program lifecycle presentations.

Qualifications

• Experience in man-made Nuclear and Natural Space Radiation environments.
• Active or Current Security clearance with willingness to obtain higher clearance.
• Knowledge of spacecraft/missile development lifecycle and requirements.
• Ability to apply systems thinking to complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation.
• Lead survivability tasks and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate across Survivability and FBM program teams to drive results.
• Brief customers and senior leadership on findings and progress.
