Qualifications

• Registration as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in Florida or ability to obtain Florida Licensing within 12 months of employment
• 10+ years in surveying and mapping with FDOT project experience
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience mandatory
• FDOT surveying and mapping standards, specs, and procedures knowledge
• Proficiency with surveying equipment (total stations, GPS, data collectors)
• Advanced surveying/mapping software (AutoCAD, GIS) expertise
• Strong customer service and meeting project schedules
• Support for strategic planning and business development within the organization
• Understanding of AE/C landscape and partnerships value
• Growing current accounts and securing new business

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all surveying and mapping projects in your market area
• Collaborate with client representatives and project stakeholders to understand goals, scope, and deliverables
• Prepare and review proposals, cost estimates, and work plans for client approval
• Ensure quality assurance throughout project execution
• Lead a team of surveyors and mappers, providing guidance and training
• Coordinate with departments and subcontractors for smooth project progression
• Perform field surveys for highway alignments, ROW boundaries, control points, and topographic features
• Prepare and review survey plats, legal descriptions, ROW maps, and related documents
• Establish and maintain proper geodetic control and coordinate systems
• Develop and implement QA procedures and conduct data reviews
• Engage in BD activities, capture plans, and identify new opportunities
• Maintain client relationships and communicate progress and findings
