Job summary

George F. Young, Inc. is seeking a Professional Surveyor & Mapper (PSM/PLS) to lead our growing surveying team in Florida.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of experience, Florida licensure, and a strong background in ALTA surveys, design surveys for roadways and pipelines, and topographic surveys. This role combines project management, team leadership, and business development, with responsibility for proposals, cost estimates, client relationships, and BD strategy.

Qualifications

• Florida PSM license or ability to obtain within 12 months
• 10+ years of surveying and mapping experience, including FDOT projects
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Experience with highway alignments, right-of-way, topographic surveys
• Strong business development and client relationship skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all surveying and mapping projects in your market area
• Collaborate with client representatives to understand project goals, scope, and deliverables
• Prepare and review project proposals, cost estimates, and work plans for client approval
• Ensure quality assurance throughout project execution
• Lead a team of surveyors and mappers, providing guidance and training
• Coordinate with other departments and subcontractors involved in projects
• Develop BD strategy and pursue new contracts
