Job summary

OHM Advisors in Detroit is seeking a Senior Survey Technician to lead field survey operations across transportation, municipal, commercial and land development projects. You will oversee survey crews, coordinate daily field activities, and ensure accurate data collection, documentation, and processing.

Collaborate with Professional Surveyors, mentor staff, and maintain safety and QA/QC standards while delivering projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience with land surveying.
• Must have experience in all types of surveying equipment and procedures.
• Must have a valid and current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans with scope, schedules, staffing and budgets.
• Lead survey crews and coordinate field activities.
• Mentor crew members and review field data.
• Perform topographic, boundary and layout surveys.
• Ensure accuracy of parcel and right-of-way data.
• Promote safety and QA/QC compliance.
• Communicate with clients and project teams.
