Duties, Responsibilities & Other

We are hiring a Senior Survey Project Manager to join our team in Charlotte, NC/Rock Hill, SC! Candidates should have a passion for building client relationships, marketing engineering and surveying services, and managing staff.

• Planning, directing, and coordinating operations, including project managers, staff surveyors, technicians, and field operations.
• Managing master contracts, including fee estimation, project setup, and execution.
• Preparing work plans, assembling project teams, delegating tasks, and ensuring compliance with scope and deadlines.
• Preparing client invoices, deliverables, and project-related correspondence.
• Ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of projects.
• Business Development: Developing and maintaining client relationships, preparing proposals, cost estimates, plats, legal descriptions, sketches, roadway databases, topographic surveys, and data computations.
• Documenting project team performance through Staff Reviews and communicating performance issues to leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• NC/SC Licensed Professional Land Surveyor or other state registrations.
• Drone lidar experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with Trimble Business Center, Microstation, Geopack, and OpenRoads is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 9-14 years of professional experience.
• Relevant professional certification preferred.
• Pre-employment drug screening required; background and motor vehicle checks may be conducted.

Performance Expectations

• Complete annual training, mentor staff, and develop backup personnel.
• Maintain client relationships and solicit feedback.
• Ensure project safety, compliance, and timely delivery within budget.
• Operate within budget, review project performance, and prepare reports.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and financials, and oversee technical work and site visits.
