Job summary

Atwell in Phoenix, AZ seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead a surveying team responsible for drafting and reviewing site plans, ALTA surveys, and construction documents for solar/wind projects. You will coach staff, manage budgets, coordinate field crews, and ensure timely delivery using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.

A Professional Survey License and 8+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

8+ years of survey industry-related work experience
Professional Survey License (PLS / RLS)
Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team.

Responsibilities

Lead a team responsible for drafting, reviewing, and finalizing site plans and construction documents.
Review project survey data utilizing the latest technology and industry software.
Analyze existing site conditions and factors including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
Plan, organize, and supervise survey crews, technicians, and office staff members.
Provide oversight on large-scale ALTA surveys for solar or wind power generation.
Guide junior team members through permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, transmittals, and construction document setup.
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to meet timelines and budgets.
Mentor staff on training plans and career development.
