Job summary

Kier & Wright Civil Engineers and Surveyors in Irvine, CA seeks a Senior Survey Manager/Associate to lead the Survey/Mapping department. You will oversee multiple project teams, manage a large portfolio, and act as Surveyor of Record, guiding technical excellence and client relations.

Responsibilities include project management, technical leadership, QA/QC, and business development. Requires 15+ years in land surveying and CA PLS license; base salary DOE with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics or Civil Engineering with 15+ years in land surveying
• Professional Land Surveyor license in California is required
• Experience managing staff and project teams; strong client communications and leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple survey projects with scope, schedule, budget, and KPIs
• Sign and seal survey documents as Surveyor of Record
• Develop and enforce QA/QC procedures and technical standards
• Manage client communications and project delivery across stakeholders
• Oversee boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic mapping and legal descriptions
