Job summary

WSB in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Senior Survey Crew Chief or Survey Crew Chief to join a growing field team. You will lead day-to-day survey operations for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, coordinating with project teams and maintaining high technical standards.

Ideal candidates have experience with GPS and total stations, field calibrations, and the ability to work outdoors across varied weather.

Qualifications

• Experience in boundary, topographic, right of way and boundary surveys preferred.
• Two-year degree in civil engineering technology or land surveying or two+ years supervisory experience considered.
• Ability to schedule across multiple projects and communicate with managers, inspectors, and contractors.
• Proficient with Trimble/Leica GPS, Total Stations and other survey equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of a survey crew for boundary, topographic and construction surveys.
• Direct and lead survey crew operations; interpret construction plans.
• Ensure proper setup and calibrations of field equipment.
• Operate and maintain survey equipment; upload/download data.
• Travel within 100 miles, including overnight stays, as required.
