Job summary

Atwell, LLC in Marietta, GA seeks a Survey Crew Chief to lead field teams on boundary, ALTA, As-built, and construction staking projects. You will set up and operate Trimble equipment (total station, data collector, GPS), perform leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, and cross-section surveys, and commute daily in a company-provided truck.

Candidates will read and interpret engineering plans, review field calculations, establish vertical and horizontal control, and prepare precise field

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Survey Crew Chief role performing boundary, ALTA, Asbuilt, and Construction Staking surveys.
• Ability to effectively communicate with contractors, inspectors and team leaders.
• Experience with Trimble equipment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Commute to and from sites daily in a company-provided truck.
• Perform survey activities such as leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, and profile and cross-section surveys.
• Set up, adjust, and operate Trimble survey equipment including total station, data collector, and GPS equipment.
• Measure distances, angles, and elevations for staking purposes.
• Reviewing survey field calculations and adjusting when needed.
• Locating or establishing vertical and horizontal control.
• Utilizing Trimble equipment to measure all utility points including curb and gutter, water & sewer, storm drain, and paving.
• Prepare accurate field notes and complete as-built drawings.
• Responsible for maintaining work-issued vehicles, laptops, and survey equipment.
• Follow Atwell’s safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans.
