Donovan-Hill Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Survey CAD Technician to join our Geomatics team in Pensacola, FL.

You will transform field survey data into high-quality maps and design deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software, collaborating with surveyors, project managers, and LiDAR/UAV specialists. You will prepare boundary, topo, ALTA/NSPS, and route drawings, develop DTMs and contours, and contribute to QA/QC, data management, and CAD standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey deliverables.
• Experience with boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Experience processing GNSS, LiDAR, UAV, terrestrial laser scans, or hydrographic data.
• Ability to interpret deeds, plats, easements and survey records.
• Familiarity with Trimble Business Center and LP360.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare survey drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D (boundary, topo, ALTA/NSPS).
• Process GNSS, UAV, LiDAR and hydrographic data into digital maps.
• Develop DTMs, contours, profiles and cross-sections for design.
• Research deeds, plats, easements, and rights-of-way for projects.
• Prepare legal descriptions and supporting survey exhibits.
• Collaborate with field crews to verify data and resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in field assignments to stay current with procedures.
• Assist with UAV imagery, LiDAR, and data processing quality control.
• Perform QA/QC to meet DHG standards and client specs.
• Maintain organized electronic project files and data management.
• Support CAD standards and drafting procedures and templates.
