Job summary

Norton Healthcare is seeking a Sr. Surgical Technician to support the intra-operative team by preparing and handling instrumentation and surgical equipment.

You will assist the surgeon during procedures, applying aseptic technique and patient-focused care for a wide age range from neonate to geriatric. The role requires CST/CSA certification or equivalent, with a diploma or extensive experience or an apprenticeship pathway.

Qualifications

• Three years as a Surgical Technician and CST or CSA certification.
• Diploma or three years of surgical tech experience or completion of a Surgical Tech Apprentice Program.
• One of CST, CSA, TS-C, CORST, or CSFA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and handling of instrumentation and surgical equipment.
• Assist the surgeon during the surgical procedure.
• Apply knowledge of aseptic technique and medical terminology in patient care.
• Demonstrate prioritization and problem-solving during procedures.
