Job summary

Norton Healthcare, Inc. is seeking Surgical Technicians and Senior Surgical Technicians to join our team in Indiana.

The role involves preparing instruments, assisting surgeons, and providing patient-focused care across all ages, with opportunities for growth and professional development. The Senior role requires at least three years of experience, a diploma or equivalent apprenticeship, and certification options such as CST, CSA, TS-C, CORST, or CSFA.

Qualifications

• 1-year surgical tech experience OR completion of a surgical tech program (Diploma) OR successful completion of a surgical tech apprentice program
• Three years as a Surgical Technician
• Diploma OR three years of surgical tech experience OR successful completion of a Surgical Tech Apprentice Program
• One of: CST, CSA, TS-C, CORST, or CSFA

Responsibilities

• Prepare and handle surgical instruments and equipment, assisting the surgeon during procedures
• Administer care and use of equipment based on patient age and needs
• Prioritize, plan and problem-solve effectively, adapting to changing situations during surgeries
• Respond promptly to urgent or emergency situations
• Apply knowledge of medical terminology, the metric system and aseptic technique in all patient and family interactions
