UC San Diego Health's Perioperative Services seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the OR team in San Diego. Under supervision, you perform complex surgical technologist duties, verify equipment, and liaise with surgeons and vendors to ensure optimal sterile technique and instrument readiness.

You will also support ongoing staff education and participate in a dynamic educational environment within UC San Diego Health, with benefits starting day one.

Qualificações

• Completion of Accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• BART or BLS certification at hire, with plan to obtain BART within six months.
• Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technician experience.
• Knowledge of maintaining a therapeutic environment for patients.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation used in various procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Verify specialty equipment and inventory for OR procedures.
• Contact surgeons regarding equipment needs and status.
• Coordinate with supply vendors about malfunctioning equipment.
• Provide continuing education/in-services to staff.
