UC San Diego Health’s Hillcrest Operating Room is seeking a Sr. Surgical Tech to join a dynamic perioperative team. This role supports several specialty areas, ensures equipment readiness, and collaborates with surgeons.

Requirements include completion of an Accredited Surgical Technologist program and at least 1 year of Surgical Technician experience, with BART or BLS at hire and a plan to obtain BART within 6 months. The position offers a 90% appointment and night shifts.

Formación

• Completion of Accredited Surgical Technologist program is required.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six months.
• At least 1 year of Surgical Technician experience is required.
• Proven knowledge of maintaining a therapeutic environment for patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Verify specialty equipment and inventory.
• Contact surgeons regarding equipment.
• Coordinate with supply companies/vendors about malfunctioning equipment.
• Provide continuing education in-service to staff.
