Qualifications

• The Sr. Surgical Tech completes surgical set-ups according to department standards and physician preference cards.
• The Surgical Tech maintains the sterile field, handles surgical instrumentation, and prepares supplies and equipment.
• Duties include anticipating physician needs at the sterile field and preparing supplies, instruments and equipment.
• Implements aseptic technique and practices related to prevention of retained foreign objects, safe medication labeling and handling, and adherence to department policies.
