Job summary

Carondelet Health Services is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to assist the surgical team and support patient care in the operating room. You will prepare instruments, maintain sterile technique, and help with patient positioning and instrument exchange under supervision.

The role requires scrubbing for multiple specialties, quick problem solving, and participation in staff training while aligning with department goals. Sign-on bonus up to $10K is available based on eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Principles of asepsis experience preferred.
• Ability to scrub for multiple specialties (3+).

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team before, during, and after surgery under RN supervision.
• Prepare and arrange equipment and supplies per surgeon card.
• Maintain asepsis and sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Assist with positioning, gowning, gloving, and passing instruments.
• Monitor and manage inventory and equipment in the OR.
• Attend to orientation and training of new staff as needed.
