Job summary

Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA is hiring a Senior Surgical Technician to support the operating room under RN supervision. The position is Full Time with 12-hour, variable shifts, and involves surgical scrub duties, instrument prep, and intraoperative support.

As part of Providence, you’ll work in a team focused on patient care, safety, and efficiency, with opportunities to develop skills in vascular surgery and advanced perioperative performance.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Surgical Tech Program and complete required competencies.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist and BLS certification required.
• Minimum 3 years OR experience; 2 years vascular surgery if Open Heart.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical case preparation and instrument allocation.
• Pass sutures and instrumentation during procedures as directed by the surgeon.
• Support intraoperative sterile field and maintain instrument turnover.
• Complete terminal cleaning of the surgical suite and decontamination after procedures.
